4.7 and Eclipse M6.

I think this is really a REOPEN of Bug 416235, which probably only fixed one of more than one pollution mechanism. I don't think this was ever fixed. Perhaps it has got worse recently.

I often find that after a restart I need to remove e.g. the Git Repo View from the default perspective, or the Package Explorer from the GIT perspective. Sorry no precise repro.

I haven't seen this in my perspectives (I use 3 per workspace). Without steps I doubt any progress will be made here.

Just had it happen again.

I suspect that it may be a GIT Tree Compare Window that gets incorrectly mementoed so that it reopens as a GIT Repository following an install-driven Restart.
