Description Peter Nehrer CLA 2017-03-28 18:02:10 EDT
Starting with version 1.3, the OSGi Metatype Service Specification (section 105.9) supports annotations that developers can utilize in order to generate XML resource files instead of editing them manually.

To that end, PDE should support the processing of these annotations and generating the corresponding Meta Type Resource XML files, much like it does for Declarative Services.

The Metatype Service Specification v1.3, section 105.9, provides specific instructions to address this functionality.

Hi Peter and all.

Is there any chance that this enhancement could get some attention for next SR? Are there things that I could assist with?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
