Currently the default position of the transition name label is centered on top of the transiton itself. This is makes the name label unreadable and in practice it forces the user to *always* have to move the name label.

It would be preferred if the name label were placed above the transition, with the example of a horizontal transition, like this:

            NameLabel
------------------------->

This is an extract from Bug 494284 related to the creation of edge based transitions using the transition tool on the palette in the state-machine diagram.
