Description Hemang Rathod CLA 2017-02-24 14:29:35 EST
When we change Java to 1.8 in Project Facets and when we have WebSphere Web(Co-existence) selected we getting error like,
Websphere Web (Co-existence) 8.5 requires Java with version matching expression "1.3,1.4,1.5,1.6,1.7"

Do we need to have some plugings to make it work ? please help how to fix? we need Java 1.8 to be selected with WebSphere Web.

IBM WebSphere provide the project facet for WebSphere. This is not Eclipse code, so I am closing this as NOT_ECLIPSE.

Hemang,

I also verified that the latest releases of IBM WebSphere Application Developer Tools support Java 8 in conjunction with the WebSphere Web (Co-existence) 8.5 facet. Since you are using Mars.2 (you opened this as 4.5.2), you should be able to move up to a newer level and get the support that you require. However, please follow up with IBM through appropriate channels. (If you have an issue, please contact IBM WebSphere directly, and not Eclipse.)
