Description Andreas Sewe CLA 2017-02-17 04:42:17 EST
When the feature.xml editor shows a warning overlay for one of the feature's dependencies, it doesn't explain what the problem is, neither in a tooltip nor in the Problems view (see screenshot), although the editor clearly knows what the problem is (in this case: the dependencies wasn't found in the target platform).

Can you attach the screenshot?

I get a warning for a similar issue.

Great.

> I get a warning for a similar issue.

OK, I figured out what the root cause is: I had "Build Automatically" disabled. When automatic builds are enabled, there is a matching Problems view entry for the overlay.

However, automatic builds don't seem to be a requirement for this particular check; the feature.xml editor updates its overlay promptly even if automatic builds are disabled.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
