Description Udo Walker CLA 2016-12-15 04:45:51 EST
In the product editor I added under Launching in the Launching Arguments sub screen following VM Arguments:

-Xbootclasspath/a:plugins/special.charset._1.0.0.jar

special.charset._1.0.0.jar is shown in the Help->About Eclipse->Installation Details->Plug-ins dialog section.

When I build the product and run it from console, the extra JAR is found and correctly used.

When I start Eclipse as Runtime from within Eclipse, the Configuration log shows me a relative path for my launching argument but for all other JARs an absolute path is shown.

I suppose the relative path in the Runtime has a different parent folder than in the built product.

I suggest to translate the relative path to an absolute path or use variables to indicate the parent folder of the relative path.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
