Sirius provides the conventional big Yellow button on: https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/modeling.sirius/downloads Pressing the button links to a page that is helpful for novice users, but useless for real Eclipse users. I am unable to find any ZIP file that I can download for repeated offline installation into existing Eclipse installations. Please provide a more conventional page with All-in-One-Update ZIPs. cf: https://www.eclipse.org/emf/compare/downloads/
Hi Ed. The zipped archives are linked from each release page e.g. http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/releases/4.1.0/ Granted, this may not be easily discoverable, I'll see how we can improve this.
Thanks, that provides releases, but not N/I/S builds. I suggest re-using traditional technology, perhaps on a different page name so that you keep your novice-friendly page as well.
For stable and milestone, the archives are available. The URL of all versions are listed in this page: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Update_Sites and for example for stable version 4.1.0-S20160929-100157, you can find the archives at http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/. The archives are not generated for nightly builds.
(In reply to Laurent Redor from comment #3) > you can find the archives at > http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/. Perhaps you are not clear what an 'archive' or more traditionally a Download ZIP is. For Sirius one might expect to find them below http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/downloads... It is often called All-in-One-Update and is a ZIP file that can be downloaded for repeated offline installation into P2. The referenced http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/ is neither a download ZIP nor a link to a download page for such a ZIP. It is a 404. (In reply to Ed Willink from comment #0) > cf: > > https://www.eclipse.org/emf/compare/downloads/ where 3.2->3.2.1->Archived UPdate Site links to a mirrored ZIP http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/modeling/emf/compare/downloads/drops/3.2.1/R201608311750/emf-compare-update-3.2.1.zip&protocol=http

It is a > 404. This URL is not 404 for me, you can browse the directory contents by clicking the link "Show Directory Contents." and the access to the complete URL of archive: * http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/org.eclipse.sirius-4.1.0-S20160929-100157-mars.zip * or http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/org.eclipse.sirius-4.1.0-S20160929-100157-neon.zip
(In reply to Laurent Redor from comment #5) >> It is a 404. > > This URL is not 404 for me, you can browse the directory contents Yes. I am so used to substitute 404 pages being useless that I missed the useful content. (In reply to Laurent Redor from comment #3) > The URL of all versions are listed in this page: > https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Update_Sites and for example for stable > version 4.1.0-S20160929-100157, you can find the archives at > http://download.eclipse.org/sirius/updates/stable/4.1.0-S20160929-100157/. Yes the URL is listed, but it is not a hyperlink. I see no navigation path to a ZIP from https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/modeling.sirius/downloads In particular, none from the Big Yellow Download button.
The goal of my comments is to precise where you can find the existing ZIP files. As said by Pierre-Charles in the comment 1, we will see how we can improve this and consider your remarks.
