The project name, "Data Tools", and the abbreviation "DTP" are--essentially--code words that are not generally meaningful to the end-user and should be avoided. I think, however, that we can reasonably argue that "Data Tools" (but not "Data Tools Platform") is a reasonable end-user term.

The Data Tools contribution to the welcome screen is focused on adopters. The intended audience for the welcome screen is end-users. Are there end-user focused concepts that we can add here?

Likewise, the Tutorials page includes a "DTP Apache Derby tutorial". Again, "DTP" is not meaningful to the end user, nor is the title "Data Tools Platform". It's probably enough to just drop "DTP" from the entry and change the title to "Databases", "Data access", or even "Data Tools" (not "Data Tools Platform"). The text needs a little work as well.

The "What's New" page also has a project-focus rather than an end-user focus. Again, we should avoid using the project name. Also, I'm not sure that "significant changes" still applies. We should be sure to use timeless language in these section.

Any links in these sections should not point to the project's home page (the project home page is intended more for adopters and committers, not end-users). If we're going to link to anything, we should link to the end-user documentation produced by the project (the tutorial does this right)
