Created attachment 261498 [details] eGIT Corrupt Repository History View When selcting an item in repository history view the records get currpoted, it appears there is a double draw without 'wiping' first canvas first - if one switches focus away from the pane for example by clicking in the commit message area the corruption stops. See attached screenshot. eGIT version: Eclipse Git Team Provider 4.3.0.201604071810-r org.eclipse.egit.feature.group Eclipse EGit Please note before I updated from an older eGit version (unkown which thoug) it was working properly.
(please excuse the spelling issues, I posted in haste prior to spell check)

Which Eclipse / OS version are you using? Have you only updated EGit or the entire stack (Eclipse etc) ?
I observed the same issue with a brand new Eclipse Mars.2 (entire stack). I did not use EGit before, so I cannot tell whether that behavior is new. This happened on Windows 2008R2 servers, but I did not try other machines.
(In reply to Andrey Loskutov from comment #3) > Which Eclipse / OS version are you using? Have you only updated EGit or the > entire stack (Eclipse etc) ? Hi Andrey, I don't have 100% recall on this, but I believe it was 4.4.X and I noticed the issue when I downloaded a vanilla 4.5.X mars and re-installed everything latest (I can provide my plugin list if needed through p2f file). I am on Version: Mars.2 (4.5.2), and Windows 10.
Updated Eclipse Git Team Provider to 4.3.1.201605051710-r but issue still present - is there anything I can provide to help speed the resolution of this annoyance?

Simple: retest using Eclipse 4.6 RC4 and latest EGit you can get from the update site. Provide exact OS information. Add info about any specific environment settings you might have. Since no one from committers have seen this, it is something environment specific. Might be graphic card driver broken/old/wrong settings? No idea what can cause such strange painting artifacts on Windows.
Tracked it down to 'Glance' plugin interaction, solution was to upgrade to latest 1.2.1.201607052220 using this update site: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cypher256/glance/master/releng/com.xored.glance-updatesite/site.xml Github repo: https://github.com/cypher256/glance
closing as this problem wasn't caused by EGit

We are moving Glance to e4, so this bug now becomes an e4 bug. I already opened Bug 520413 for it, so I mark it as dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 520413 ***
