The 'Save and Launch' dialog prompts for saving unrelated feature.xml also which is not included in the product being launched.

From the attached projects in bug 473696 comment #3, remove the connection between the product and feature. Edit the feature file. Launch the product. The dialog prompts to save the feature file even though it is not connected to the product being launched.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
