On the "Git > Window Cache" preference page, there's an option "Window size" that is set to "8 k" by default.

I didn't find any documentation about this option. What does it do?

When I tried to change the value, I found that most values are rejected with the wrong error message "Value must be an Integer". Only multiples of 2 seem to work.
