1. Check preference Git->Committing->Show warning and apply.
2. Uncheck the same preference and apply.

The buttons in the staging view are suddenly aligned on the right side, while they are normally on the left side. This survives even a restart.

Checking the preference again makes the buttons aligned on the left side again.
