i have two open C++ projects in my otherwise pure Java workspace. due to the dubious "feature" of building the whole workspace at the most inconvenient times and without any need, a "CDT Build Console" will appear. this console cannot be closed or removed -- it stays until Eclipse is restarted. every other console type that appears can be closed again, only this one stays for no apparent reason. i expect a close button to get rid of it as i can do with others.
Still in latest CDT, and still exceptionally annoying. Can we please spend a small "x" to the console toolbar, like in most other Eclipse consoles?
New Gerrit change created: https://git.eclipse.org/r/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt/+/172510

Created attachment 284814 [details] Location of the close button with gerrit 172510.

Gerrit change https://git.eclipse.org/r/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt/+/172510 was merged to [master]. Commit: http://git.eclipse.org/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt.git/commit/?id=d4c616896478b73850933627a3f1f2905d1611c9
Thanks Simeon. Can you create a N&N entry for this too.

Thanks Simeon. I made a small change (inlined and narrowed the image) to showcase the change. Thanks again for these changes!
