These are two issues:

#1 For a simple operation such as changing the text of a query (which 'Show content' essentially does) it takes too much time even with the round trip to the server (>10 seconds on my local system)

#2 While the operation (slowly) works, there is no hint or feedback to the end user that there is some job going on.  It looks like nothing is happening and having in mind the lag one could be quick to conclude that it doesn't work at all. 

The system is:
- windows 8.1
- tomcat 7
- dirigible 2.2

The hardware parameters are fairly responsive for much more demanding applications.
