Created attachment 257333 [details] Class file and formatter to reproduce this issue Hello, To demand, I separate my previous bug submit into individual substitutions, original ticket: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=479958 When "Save Actions" > "Additional Actions" > "Remove trailing white spaces on all lines" is enabled, white spaces after line comments that are after a piece of code are not removed. Only if I save it a second time. In the ZIP file, there is the class file to reproduce the bug, with formatter settings. This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
This still fails in latest Eclipse using the supplied formatter file and doing a source->format. A cleanup that includes removing all trailing spaces works as expected.
