In "Preferences->Java->Appearance->Members Sort Order" there should be a checkbox to decide to mix static and non static fields and method. In other words I would prefer to treat static and non static fields the same and static and non static methods the same. Currently I can only sort statics above or below non statics. It's hard to find members this way sometimes.
