Currently the latest version of the gerrit-trigger plugin available for Hudson is 2.5.2-h2 (http://wiki.hudson-ci.org/display/HUDSON/Gerrit+Trigger).

This version lacks a number of features available with the latest version 2.14.0 available for Jenkins (https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Gerrit+Trigger).

E.g. the watchdog which can auto-restart the ssh connection if no more events arrive. It also allows to trigger builds on the "Ref Updated" event. With that the gerrit-trigger plugin can be also used to trigger CI builds as soon as a change in review reaches the target branch or if a change is pushed directly to a branch skipping the review process. Triggered by this event the CI build is started immediately when a branch moves to another commit without involving resource intensive polling.

Could we get the gerrit-trigger plugin 2.14.0 for Hudson ? We would like to use it on the JGit and EGit HIPPs.

Time passed, in the meantime there is gerrit-trigger plugin 2.16.0 available but not available for Hudson. Updating this bug to request 2.16.0
