org.eclipse.jdt.ui/notes looks outdated and unused to me. Can this be removed?

Those are old build note. There isn't really any value to remove them.

Is there any value in keeping them? I'm looking at the JDT UI plug-ins to help the GSOC student with a setup question and I got distracted by the directory and tried to figure out what its purpose it.

If you not used it anymore, I think it has more value for new contributors if you remove it, rather then keeping it.
