In diagram editor, we can use Ctrl+O shortcut to have a quickoutline feature.
We could have the same feature for tree/table editor.

Recently this feature has been added to VSM editor, see Bug 460712 .
In VSM editor, this has been implemented in a generic way, then implementations could reuse these generic classes but should not be dependent to VSM editor plugin.
