https://wiki.eclipse.org/JDT_UI/How_to_Contribute#Configuring_the_workspace describes that:

However we have the following Save Actions enabled in our workspaces:

    Format edited lines
    Organize imports
    Remove trailing white spaces on non-empty lines

Why not set these via the project properties?

We prefer to not enable it on the projects. This allows individuals to use the save actions configured in their workspace. This is better than e.g. only enable Organize Imports save action.
