Initially, some new functionality from bug 440474 et al was tested mainly via the UI from bug 458200.
For better test coverage without bloating UI tests, this functionality should be tested from JDT/Core tests.

Reconsidering today, I guess there's nothing gained by rushing in these tests right now.
Rescheduling for 4.6.
