depending on the contents of the specification shown, typing text into the search bar hides all reqs form the content area,  but shows no results and throws 

Unhandled event loop exception
An exception occurred while notifying part listeners (Nullpointer)
Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: "org.eclipse.e4.ui.workbench".

using Linux Mint Rebecca, 64-bit with Oracle Java 8u25

couldn't find out yet, which content causes the issue, req-list is too long to get a hint, but using a sandbox file with a few reqs, the search works fine

did work though until mid-december or so

John, can you please do one of two things:

Either attach the file in question, so that we can try to reproduce.

Or, if that is not possible, start from the console, and copy the stack trace.

Also, I assume that you are referring to the quick search feature.  I'll update the title accordingly.

we might need some robustness tests for the search.
moved to 0.14.0
