Description Brett Kotch CLA 2003-10-29 13:52:08 EST
Both are represented by "Warnings" in the annotations window.

Based on 45710, I think the best way to address 44965 is to simply give
the "Black X" its own category, lets say "Resolved Warnings."

Actually, independent of 45710 and 44965, I think it should have its own
category since if I do decide to keep the black x marker I would certainly want
to change its overview color from the warning color, to something else, in this
case black ...

Those are not separate icons and they are not limited to warnings or errors: we
simply gray them out.

Resolved problems should never appear in the (right) overview ruler hence having
a color option for those makes no sense. If you see a rectangle for a fixed
problem in the overview ruler then this is a bug. Please file it with steps to
reproduce.

Could provide annotation specification for problems that are currently/temporary
resolved.

Yes, that was what I was trying to say ;-)

Perhaps a change in title is appropriate?

The title is OK. In understood the request. I just wanted to point out that the
gray icons are derived.

Get rid of deprecated state.
