The auto-generated code menus would look at layouts and menus and create handlers for the items. Determine if this feature is useful and if so, make it work with SDK 5.0 projects.

Do you have some more background on what these were doing, ie what handlers were being created?  Temporarily targeting for 0.5-M1.
