Description Remi Schnekenburger CLA 2014-12-15 05:50:10 EST
Profile definition is invoked on each save action. This can lead users to have many profile definitions and disturbs the profile developement flow.

For the next release, it is expected to enhance the profile definition feature.

Plans for this update are the following one:
- Disconnect the profile definition on save action.
- set a warning message to remind users that a definition is required to use the profile, with a check box to deactivate this warning.
- set a preference in the workbench so the user can restore this "define profile on save action"
- develop a specific property view to manage profile definitions: create new definition, delete previous definitions, etc.

Hi Remi,

What's the status on this one?

Hi,
we have some gerrits pending on this one : https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/45575/ & https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/48806/.

However, we did not integrate them right after their developement, because of timing issues. They do not merge anymore, they should be migrated to version 2.0 of Papyrus, and some review should be also done on them.
