After changing the password for a remote repository sever I couldn't push 
and got an exception without any suggestion to update the password in the 
secure storage, or any hint of how I could do it. 

It's the same problem described 5 years ago in the following article, 
but apparently nobody had filed a bug. :-( Though somebody asked if 
anybody had. ;-) Will post a reply there with this bug id (if it's 
still possible to do so).

This looks like a duplicate of bug 430210, which has been fixed for EGit 3.3.2. Could you try to reproduce this with EGit 3.4 or newer? Update sites are here:
