Description Jean-Michel Lemieux CLA 2003-10-06 15:04:05 EDT
I20030930

1. Open the class WorkbenchPage and press Ctrl-O.
2. It takes at least 30 seconds for Eclipse to show the outline, meanwhile
Eclipse is frozen.
3. Once the outline is visible, type 'is' in the popped-up outline. This makes
Eclipse unresponsive again until, after about another 30 seconds, I can select a
method in the outline.

I don't remember it being this slow before since I use this feature all the
time. Anyway, just thought I would give you guys a heads-up.

Is this reproducible? Were there any other background jobs running e.g. build,
CVS, decorators, etc.?

I cannot reproduce either using WorkbenchPage or TextViewer (which is 1000 lines
bigger).
