I'm sure it must, but this bug is about your wiki documentation. I saw on one of your wiki pages (sorry, can't find it now) it said "Hudson runs on any OS" but on your "install page", at https://wiki.eclipse.org/Hudson-ci/Using_Hudson/Installing_Hudson There is no mention of MacOSX. Even if "not well tested", you might mention "it should run, though not well tested" ... or, ... maybe it really doesn't? In which case you might want to say that explicitly? (I'm getting ready to try it myself ... but, of course, I'm just using it to do little "local tests" ... not really using as a true "Hudson Server". Thanks,
My development environment is Mac, so I dev test only on Mac. Our QA certify on other platforms. Only issue on Mac is, Hudson does not know how to monitor the resources (disk, swap and memory) on Mac. So you might see occasionally exception from ResourceMonitor. In that page we talk about War - which you can use on any platform that supports JDK Linux Distribution - We create debian/redhat/OpenSuse (supported on all their derivatives) Windows - Here you have to use War, but from Hudson you can set to automatically start as a service We neither have installer nor automatic way to start Hudson from War for Mac, Solaris, AIX. Though all are Unix, so could be easily setup in the init.d to start automatically. Some documentation on that available https://wiki.eclipse.org/Hudson-ci/Installing_Hudson_Unix_Daemon So probably we should add Mac, Solaris & AIX and point to this document.
