When the staging view shows some staged files and some unstaged files, it would be helpful if for the unstaged files a "Replace with INdex" option was available.

Using "Replace with Head" can have the unfortunate consequence of creating an unstaged file that reverses the useful edits already staged.

Using "Replace with Index" would avoid this.

It might even be worth suppressing the Replace with Head option if there is a staged version of an unstaged file, or at least requiring a confirmatory pop-up.

[Batch change] Remove pre-3.7 Target Milestones

Still a problem.

Use case, I want to revert all my unstaged files after an experimental auto-generation. i.e. use index where possible, head otherwise. Not possible.

And worse, if a staged file is DNDed to the unstaged area, the unstgaed file is not changed; the staged edits are discarded.

"Replace with Staged" would be clearer, and much more useful than "Replace with Head".
