Our PTP help docs don't say in a very obvious place which runtime systems are supported for our parallel debugger. Ref: (1) Dave Wootton's PTP user presentation on MPICH2 debug support https://wiki.eclipse.org/images/8/80/PTP-user-debug-20140129.pdf Cites: PTP Debugger previously only supported OpenMPI, IBMPE (2) MPICH2 support added to PTP 8.0 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=424782 (3) PTP debugger help doesn't indicate what's supported - it should http://help.eclipse.org/luna/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.ptp.doc.user%2Fhtml%2F06parDebugging.html&cp=43_12
You can find which ones support debugging by looking for submit-interactive-debug in the target configuration files.
We should put this at least (1) on the wiki / Release Notes in the pre-reqs for debugger (that is, for debugger say which TSCs can be debugged), (2) in FAQ because it is asked so much (3) in the HTML docs at the top of the debugger page - and/or for each TSC description say whether it's debuggable or not That is, make the info easy to find, because it's asked a lot.
