I have an issue only on mac it seems where I cannot for the life of me change the credentials for git push and git fetch in Eclipse. I've tried going into the preferences and deleting all of the secure store information as well as simply resetting it. Symptoms: When I right click the project and go to Team > Push to Upstream... I am prompted to type in my password for the username 'git'. This is obviously not my username, but Eclipse refuses to let me change it. I have tried changing it from multiple different places. The Git Perspective, right from the context menu, or even from the Git Repositories view. The result is always the same. If I configure Git Push with my actual username and password, and check the box that says store in secure store, it acts like it is about to push and then prompts me to provide a password for the 'git' user. This is incredibly frustrating as the windows client does not have this problem. I can simply use https on windows to push to a repo. Unfortunately though, on mac, I had to go through a lengthy process to set up my repo with an ssh key. And even then, I have to enter my keyword for the ssh key before it will push.
Moving to 'EGit' for analysis.
