File -> Import -> Git -> Projects from Git

Select to clone from URL

Fill out the requried server, and git repository credentials. The URL should  be a github url and one that specifically that requires authentication.

Fill out the project wizard (this was tested with "General Project" and "Javascript Project"). 

After the process finishes there is a new project on the workbench with no source code pulled down from the repository. If at some point you try to set up a new source folder, no sub directories appear to select. IOW you can't select a source folder, he wizard thinks there are none to select.

Can you retry with latest release 3.3.2 ?

Why aren't you using a newer version of EGit ?
