The help text for the description field for releases needs some revision. It is more useful to summarize the additions/changes for a release than to provide a full list of features. Should also include some discussion of the preference for "elevator pitch" style.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
Hi Wayne, is this still needed? I created a release in my sandbox and went to edit it and encountered the following description help text: Summarize the major features of this release as well as any other features that have generated significant discussion amongst the community during the development cycle. Compare the features against the Roadmap to understand the project's conformance or divergence. Keep this description concise. Use the themes connected to this release to expand on the ideas introduced in the description. While it doesn't explicitely state elevator pitch style, it does ask for the user to keep it concise. Is this adequate?
