Created attachment 241416 [details] screenshot *** Description of the problem When I open a process then the outline view contains all the proper elements from the process definition. When I close the outline view and the open it again then it will remain empty. See attached screenshot. *** Steps to reproduce 1) open the outline view ('window' -> 'show view' -> 'outline') 2) open a process 3) close the outline view 4) open the outline view *** Actual result Outline view is empty
I'm unable to reproduce this error with either the latest 1.0.2 or 1.1.0. Do you have some other views open in your workspace that might be affecting the Outline refresh?

Bob - I have attached a video showing the issue. You can also see the opened views. Now I'm thinking that this might be JBDS specific. I used verion 1.0.2.201403061830.
Sorry, still unable to repro this. Does the Outline refresh when you click on the editor canvas, or some other diagram element?
Nope it does not. The only way to refresh the outline view is to close and reopen the process.
I am STILL unable to repro this. Can you please retest using the nightly build from here: https://git.eclipse.org/c/bpmn2-modeler/org.eclipse.bpmn2-modeler.git Thanks Marek!
I can still reproduce this using JBDS 8.0.0.CR1 and BPMN2 Modeler - Diagram Editor 1.1.1.201409261846. Please see attachment.

This looks like it's only reproducible on Linux. Windows systems do not have this problem. The workaround is to first ensure all BPMN2 editors are closed, then open the Outline View and then open the BPMN2 editor.
