I'll use this bug to track the Viatra2 Release 3.3 on 28th July, 2013. Zoltan submitted the IP Log for review. I believe that this is the first official release of VIATRA2 at Eclipse. Will the project graduate from incubation with this release? Please inform the Modeling PMC of the release review via their mailing list and ask for their approval.
Sorry for the late response, but we had to look after the graduation process as well. As this is our first real eclipse.org release, we are not really sure whether we can or cannot do a graduation right now. If we can, we would be glad to graduate as well; otherwise we would do that together with our next release.

Please send a note to modeling-pmc@eclipse.org with a pointer to your release documentation and a request for approval of the release.

Sorry, I was waiting a bit for an answer about the release review, as I believe, after the modeling-pmc approves the review, this cannot be changed (would be logical).
Your documentation claims "7 active committers from a single organization". I count 6 [1]. Dash says that only three are active. Can you explain? If you want to release on July 28, then we need to run the review this week (starting today). What do you expect to change? Changing relatively minor details after PMC approval is fine; larger changes... not so much.

This is not very visible in the commit history, however, we do consider them active as well. If it is problematic, we could change the description to also reflect this information. > (In reply to comment #4) > > Sorry, I was waiting a bit for an answer about the release review, as I believe, > > after the modeling-pmc approves the review, this cannot be changed (would be > > logical). > > If you want to release on July 28, then we need to run the review this week > (starting today). You asked in the description whether we plan to do a graduation together with the release, and I have asked whether we can/should do a graduation in our first release. I believe, this is a rather major detail. Sorry for not being clear enough the first time.

The only consideration in my mind is "are you ready?" There is a rule regarding version names that requires that incubating projects only do pre-1.0 releases. We bend this rule regularly for mature projects that join Eclipse, so I have no real concern with bending the rule here if Viatra2 needs to stay in incubation. But... if the committers all get the EDP, the APIs are stable, and you and the PMC are comfortable with moving forward with a graduation, I'd say go for it. Note that you lose the ability to use the parallel IP process if you leave incubation. > I believe, this is a rather major detail. I concur. > Sorry for not being clear enough the first time. Maybe if you use very small words and talk very slowly, I'll understand :-)
Thank you for the help, we have submitted the review without graduation for this version to the modeling-pmc: http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/modeling-pmc/msg02939.html
I declare this review successful. Please continue with your release. Sorry for the delay.
