It should be possible to have several models open at one time. Either the mode explorer should be able to display several models at a time or it should be possible to have several model explorers open. Currently it seems possible to have only one model at a time in the model explorer.
I agree this is not good usability. We often want to cut&paste things between models in the model explorer. Today this seems impossible as the cut&paste context is lost when a different model is loaded.
What also needs to be considered here are scaling issues like memory consumption (java heap) and performance of Papyrus when having multiple larger models open simultaneously.
This one blocks Bug 290261. Please update the "blocks" list.
This is working in M6 where cut & paste is supported. It is also supported when cross model types are used.
And now it is broken again in M6, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=430700
Working again. However, we still see too many resources e.g. EcorePrimitiveTypes
Let's close this one and concentrate on https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=366029 especially comment #17 which covers my issue.
