Description Uwe Stieber CLA 2013-05-03 04:48:08 EDT
The path map service is an important service as it influence the behavior of the agent and clients as it is the central instance of translating a target side path to a host side path and vice versa. In this functions, it has a direct effect on the usability and the users impression of the tooling. Nonetheless, there is no documentation which describes the supported path map entries and how a given entry is handled, nor is there a description what are valid values for the properties of a path map entry. In example, it is not clear if an empty string ("") is allowed to be specified for source and/or destination and how the empty string effects the path resolving algorithm. No unit tests are available to assure the behavior of the path resolving algorithm across the supported path map entries.
