Description Nobody - feel free to take it CLA 2012-11-20 07:43:45 EST
Quite apart from the fact that Virgo can't launch itself from a directory with spaces in the path, at least on Mac OS X, the Virgo IDE tooling cannot launch such a Virgo installation either.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install Virgo IDE tools 1.0.0.201209050002-RELEASE into, for example, Eclipse Java EE Juno SR1.
2. Unzip a Virgo distribution, e.g. kernel, into a directory with a space in the path, e.g. /Users/glynnormington/bugs2/pathwith space/virgo-kernel-3.6.0.M03.
3. Define a Virgo server & runtime pointing at the Virgo distribution.
4. Attempt to start the server.
5. It fails with the following rather cryptic red message in the console:

Error: Could not find or load main class space.virgo-kernel-3.6.0.M03.configuration

See bug 364448. Although it is not strictly a pre-req, we may as well make this bug a pre-req. since there's little point of the tooling being able to launch an installation that can't launch itself.
