Description Markus Keller CLA 2012-06-11 08:36:16 EDT
The Git History view currently just makes the view title italic to show that the current content is out of date. This is too subtle.

The busy indicator is meant for cases where a view is not yet completely filled (e.g. Search or Synchronize view), or when a view is partially outdated (e.g. Debug view). But for long running operations like setting a new input in the Git History view, the content of the view also needs to show that it is outdated.

Either clean the view (which is what already happens in latest N-builds when you move the mouse over the busy view), or at least render the contents in gray or italics.

In 4.x, the busy state of the view is not even visible (bug 372466), so there's no indication for the user that the view is still updating.
