Description Holger Klene CLA 2012-04-10 18:08:52 EDT
Build Identifier: I20120315-1300

Certain debug related keyboard-shortcuts steal the focus from the editor.

seems similar to bug 69747 though I use the inline rename and not the dialog

I hope this could be considered along with bug 376011 working on the focus system.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Execute program until breakpoint.
2. select an expression -> Ctrl-Shift-i -> inspect result -> Esc or
3. press F6 to step or
4. locate the cursor some lines futher down and press Ctrl-R to run to that line
5. keyboard-focus is not inside the editor anymore, though the editor-tab is highlighted, as if it is still active. But there is no visible cursor and cursor keys don't do anything.
6. Sometimes it's possible to regain focus pressing tab
7. Sometimes only the mouse will bring focus back
8. Especially step 2 can stop other shortcuts as well e.g. F6, Ctrl-E, F12, Ctrl-M, ... but not the main menu ones like Alt-F

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
