Description Satyam Kandula CLA 2011-12-02 10:10:32 EST
This is acutally a spin off of bug 356620. The specified pre defined index file should be verified for correctness and a warning should be reported if the index file is not available or is outdated.
Comment 1 Deepak Azad CLA 2012-01-10 14:25:10 EST
The validation of index file can/should also be done when a user specifies the index via UI. This would be similar to the validation that happens for javadoc locations.

If a JDT/Core API to validate the index is available then I can use that as part of fix for bug 364287.

Filed bug 368523 to provide the API.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
