Plug-in org.eclipse.jdt.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.jdt.internal.ui.wizards.JavaProjectWizard. An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.eclipse.jdt.ui (170).
I keep getting this error message despite following the installation guide. It occurs after eclipse opens and I try to open a new project. I have some uni work that needs to be completed and this is a new installation on a new pc. PC is i7, windows 7 64, java jdk 64,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

2.new java project

We need the full error log from your workspace.

What file did you download from Eclipse? What is its name? Where did you unzip Eclipse to on your hard drive?

Try with a build from here:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.7.1-201109091335/index.php

and make sure you download the 64-bit version.
