Everytime I need to clone, create or add a repository I have to hover the icons in the git repository view to read the tooltip. I think more clear icons would be good for these three features.
Any proposal how they should look like ?
Not for entire new icons. But one thing you can do is to remove the small font banners with "git" on it from the icons. These are 16x16 icons. As a result a text on such an icon is very disturbing. The text is also unnecessary because the icons allways appear in a git context e.g. the repository view. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
For anyone wanting to implement this, the icons are: etool16/newlocation_wiz.gif icons/obj16/cloneGit.gif etool16/createRepository.gif Maybe it would also help if "Add existing" and "Create new" did not both use a "+". We could change the icon of "Add existing" to use something like "import_prj.gif" as overlay.
Created attachment 250204 [details] Screenshot Since the new "cloud" based icons are available, I thought it might be nice to reuse that idea. See attached screenshot, which uses the folder metaphor for adding an existing local repo and the cloud metaphor for cloning.
