regarding your e-mail below, could you please send a link that guides me to the online form? Even when removing the line break, all I get is a page that reads:

"Member Committer Questionnaire
This is no longer a separate form, and has been included in the MyFoundation Portal. Please connect to the Portal and login with your Bugzilla account to complete this information.

http://portal.eclipse.org

If you do not have a Bugzilla account already, please sign up for an account before attempting to fill out this form in the Portal. The Eclipse Bugzilla system is:

http://bugs.eclipse.org/"

Clicking on the portal link doesn't make it clear where I would be able to find this form. Could you please provide directions?

This may just be a documentation error, or maybe this email needs to be more explicit.

I received a reminder saying I still need to fill out the MCQ for my account xxx@xxx. The portal page seems to say the MCQ already was received. The link to the MCQ in the e-mail you sent doesn't work. The page links to portal.eclipse.org, but there I can't find the form anywhere. Please assist.

In addition, the portal cannot be opened by a non-commiter:

"OOPS! Looks like we don't know about an existing relationship with you--so there is nothing here for you to see."

What should a non-committer do to fill out the questionnaire?

What are you trying to do?

Only newly-elected committers should need to fill out the questionnaire.

I'm trying to understand the paperwork presented at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Nominating_and_Electing_a_New_Committer#What_Paperwork_Does_the_New_Committer_Need_.28and_Why.29.3F
in the context of creation of a new project.

I'm investigating "O: Works for Other Company."

First step: "The candidate/new committer fills out the online Individual Committer Questionnaire"
Step two and step three can be done without any additional login.

As far as I understand http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/development_process_2011.php#6_3_1_Creation_Review and http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Creation_Reviews#Committers initial committers are elected. I assume that the paperwork mentioned in "Nominating and Electing a New Committer" has to be in parallel. Is this assumption wrong? Does one become a committer and then has access to http://portal.eclipse.org and then fills out the questionnaire? Or is the questionnaire simply obsolete in the case of the creation of a new project?

Once somebody is in our system, either by being elected as a committer, or by being an initial committer on a new project, they will have access to the questionnaire.

The election workflow (which includes the committer questionnaire) is captured here:

Could that info be linked at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Nominating_and_Electing_a_New_Committer or is it too detailed for that place?

I consider it an implementation detail and we're changing that implementation shortly. Also, generating that page is computationally expensive, so I'd rather not have too many people hitting it.

Perhaps we can snap some screenshots for the Member Committer Questionnaire and Individual Committer Questionnaire pages (which are little more than placeholders).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

Can we include links to the paperwork requirements in the EF Account page?

Hi Wayne,

Do we still need to address the issues in this bug?

It seems to be related to the old portal and I'm wondering if the current paperwork modules is now taking care of what an elected person needs to do.

Let me know if we need to add more information.

Thanks.

This is way old. I'm pretty sure that we solved this a long time ago.
