Would be helpful if folders that don't actually contain any files with changes in them will be collapsed into one tree node. See attached for a comparison between the CVS plug-in and EGit.

This is already implemented in 'Workspace' model and it is called 'compressed folders'. AFAIK the CVS plug-in doesn't support compressed folders in 'Change Set' model.

Can we close this?

My screenshot seems to indicate otherwise (on the left, the src/org/eclipse/ecf/internal/core/... tree item).
