Description Peter Hendriks CLA 2010-07-05 14:28:14 EDT
Build Identifier:

Attempting to install AJDT 2.1.0 on Eclipse Classic 3.6 distribution does not work using the update site. It works great when downloading the zip manually and extracting to dropins.

I get an "Access forbidden" message when manually navigating to one of the dependencies the update manager is attempting to download (http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ajdt/36/update/plugins/org.eclipse.ajdt.ui_2.1.0.e36x-release-20100630-1500.jar), with a suggestion to file a bug. :)

I am marking this as major as new Eclipse users may get very confused if the update site is not working.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add updatesite http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ajdt/36/update as advertised on http://www.eclipse.org/ajdt/downloads/.
2. Attempt to install AJDT.
3. Get lots of errors (see log).

I installed successfully from that site on Friday, wonder what has changed over the weekend to damage permissions. Permissions look ok to me on the server, however I can't navigate into a folder that I really should be able.

fiddled with the permissions. Tested again in fresh 36 on windows and linux, works fine.
