Soren, considering the length of the discussion in bug 277643 could
you point out what exactly worked before and is now broken again?

where did you get build 20100617-1415? 
3.6 should be 20100608-0911, no?
Or are you indeed reporting this against 3.7?

The regression tests added to verify the fix for this and
its several duplicates are all intact and continue to pass
with 3.6. Please post specific cases that you think are

I hope the issue you found is not the same as what you reported
in bug 277643 comment 52 : That is a sun compiler bug which got
fixed only on the JDK7 stream. So the 1.6 javac continues to
compile the program incorrectly, while eclipse rejects it
everywhere.

Verified again for 3.7RC0 with build I20110428-0848. I don't think it matters but tested on Ubuntu Linux.
