<response_by> Keiko Terada at 2010.05.11.04.24.37 </response_by> NLS Build Label: 20100509-1500 Language: Japanese Must-Fix: No Problem description: Rulers are truncated. I may have reported this in the previous release... ---------------- 1) The Logic Example should now be open with a complex drawing on it. 2) Drag the LED that displays "10" to a new location. 3) Select one of the large panels (circuits). Handles should appear. 4) Click and drag one of the handles to resize the panel. 5) Select Circuit from the Palette and drop a circuit into some empty space 6) Now create a connection inside that circuit. Select Connection from the Palette. 7) Click once inside the top of one of the circuits, and then click again inside the bottom of the same circuit. 8) Click the Selection tool in the palette and select the connection you just created and delete it from the edit menu. 9) Right-click on the LED displaying "7" and select Decrement. 10) Open the properties view and select a circuit. 11) Expand the Location property, edit the X property and press Enter. 12) If the rulers are not visible, go to the View menu and enable them. Right-click anywhere on either of the rulers to bring up its context menu 13) Create a guide. 14) Verify that the Undo Create Guide option is translated. <response_by> igultek at 2010.05.11.14.24.14 </response_by> This article was reassigned from Category:''TVT/Testing,Inbox''.

<response_by> rewagner at 2010.06.04.11.09.06 </response_by> Nicko and I have tried changing the font on the Japanese machine from Meiryo to Meiryo-UI. This seemed to fix the truncation. So hopefully this is an acceptable fix that doesn't interfere with other things. Thanks, Ross
<response_by> Keiko Terada at 2010.06.06.19.48.38 </response_by> Hello Ross, I verified the truncation is solved. Could you let me know where we can set the font and size?
<response_by> Keiko Terada at 2010.06.06.20.15.07 </response_by> The font size is small to read a complicated character, so I need to set back to the larger size...
<response_by> Kathy Li at 2010.06.08.12.16.04 </response_by> it's a temp solution to fix this issue by changing font size or font style. We have bugzilla to track this issue. Defer and evaluate fix in future release.
I think this issue could either be related to Draw2d's or SWT's font metrics calculation. As I have neither Windows 7 nor a Japanese language OS at hand it is quite hard for me to reproduce. Could you evaluate if it can also be reproduced on Windows XP?
I've never tried on non Japanese WindowsXP to recreate, however we can download the Meiryo font from the link below. So you may be able to reproduce with the Meiryo font on your WindowsXP. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=f7d758d2-46ff-4c55-92f2-69ae834ac928

Regular style with size 9. Thanks
