Description Irene Rose CLA 2009-12-12 15:33:36 EST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 GTB6
Build Identifier: 3.4 (not findable in help topics)

This is only version working for a PPC running OSX 10.4 and is not (in many ways) the same as the tutorials on line. NONE of the "universal" versions would install at all.
This error is the inability to produce a listing window of the installed JREs when clicking the UI button: "installed JREs".
It gives an error message (in red):
"an error has occurred when creating this preference page".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.in Eclipse environment, click on "Eclipse->Preferences".
2.in "Preferences", click on "Java->Installed JREs".
3.receive error message in Preferences main window.

Without the log entries there is not much to go on.
