Clicking on the PDE Prefences takes around 15 seconds before control is returned to the user which is unacceptable.  Is it possible at least to return control
back to the user if they accidentally clicked on the PDE they can cancel it.

Moving to PDE UI.

Fixed in 2.0 - time-consuming page is moved as a child of the main PDE page, so 
if you click on it, chances are it was not an accident. In addition, loading of 
external plug-ins has been improved (should take less).
